“We have always seen oral care as beauty, wellness, and healthcare. Believing that beauty begins with the smile and recognizing that there was no innovation for beauty retailers, the Levines pioneered a new category in the industry. “Friends and colleagues encouraged us not to start a charitable foundation while we were launching our company, but to us, the two were inseparable. We believe that oral health care is a fundamental human right and conceived of the company as a way to help fund our efforts to bring the basic necessity of a healthy smile to as many people as possible,” explains Stacey Levine. GLO Good has been running dental missions ever since, frequently partnering with other non-profits like Foundation Rwanda, HealthCorps, Care Harbor, and Lenny Kravitz’s Let Love Rule Foundation to bring care to the communities that need it most. “Witnessing those transformations firsthand and seeing how each new smile can truly change a life has been the most meaningful part of this journey,” she adds. To date, the GLO Good Foundation has delivered over 4000 healthy new smiles, and they are just beginning.
What keeps their relationship, their company, and their foundation continuing to thrive and grow? The Levines say it’s giving back and making it a family affair. “Building a brand together as a couple is like raising children. It’s not easy, but it’s extremely rewarding,” said Stacey.
